PRIVACY CARD 2018

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a new European privacy law, came into effect on 25 May 2018. The new law ensures that privacy protection is governed in the same way in all EU countries. This privacy information chart outlines how MiFood handles your privacy. 

PRIVACY – YOUR RECORDS 
Your data is stored digitally. MiFood has entered into a processing agreement with the supplier of this software. The agreement stipulates, inter alia, that the supplier must handle your data confidentially and lawfully, and complies with the requirements of the GDPR.  In addition, the agreement also includes a confidentiality clause which the supplier must observe.  

The data in your file may also be used for the following purposes: 

  • The data that you send to us in an e-mail are used to respond to your enquiry.
  • Where applicable, your data is also used for financial administration so that MiFood or the administrator can draw up an invoice and verify the records. If an administrator is engaged, MiFood shall enter into a processing agreement with the administrator that satisfies the GDPR in order to guarantee your privacy to the fullest extent possible. 

In the event that MiFood wishes to use your data for other purposes, MiFood must inform you in advance and must request your explicit consent. Your data is retained for the duration imposed by law and is not disseminated to third parties other than those to which you have given your consent or in the event of a legal obligation to do so. 

PRIVACY - YOUR RIGHTS 
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or receive all registered data in the manner specified by the law. You also have the right to withdraw your consent for your data to be registered. In the event that you have a complaint about the way in which MiFood is handling the registration of your data, you have the right to raise your complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. 

PRIVACY - THE WEBSITE 
The MiFood website uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is sent to your web browser via the website and stored on the device with which you are viewing the website. The cookie allows our website to recognize your device if it visits the website again, helping to load the website on that device more quickly. You can prevent the installation of cookies or delete cookies via the settings in your web browser. The MiFood website also uses analytical tracking cookies from Google Analytics. The data collected with these cookies is used for analysis and, for example, allows MiFood to see which web pages are well visited and what you as a visitor find interesting on the site. MiFood uses this data to improve its services.

PRIVACY - THE NEWSLETTER 
If, in the future, you consent to us sending you the MiFood newsletter, your name and e-mail address will also be recorded in the mailing list. This data will not be used for any purpose other than sending the newsletter and analysis. In the future, MiFood will use online software to send the newsletters and other forms of direct mail. MiFood will enter into a processing agreement with the supplier of this software. 
 

New legislation and other circumstances may necessitate occasional changes to our privacy statement.
