We have installed an innovative process line in the Villa Flora production hall to be able to process fruit and vegetables into granules and smoothies in which the healthy goodness, like vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, is retained. The installation will commence operation in the latter half of 2018. The new process machines will allow scientists to identify which combinations work best for different people.
These machines mix, coat, inject, and dry the raw materials to create a unique mixture containing all of the components from fresh fruit and vegetables.
By carrying out the process at a relatively low temperature and by keeping it as short as possible, we can retain as much of the goodness as possible. These can then be processed into granules, croutons, crisps, and smoothies.

A drop of blood will allow MiFood to test our current level of resistance and identify the bioactive substances that a person needs to consume to boost their immune system.
Bioactive substances are found in both plant-based and animal products and have a positive effect on our health. As such, we can derive the right bioactive substances from the right mixture of fruit and vegetables. This will allow us to put together the perfect individual combination to help people grow older in good health and, in addition, help us to quickly assess the impact that this has on a person’s health.
The ultimate goal is obtain an EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) claim so that the ‘positive for your health’ label is validated.
